Fruit & nut balls misleadingly, improperly labeled

A line of dried fruit & nut balls has nutrient claims on the packaging and website, and uses 12 grams as a serving size, allowing total calories per serving to average around 40...

As a snack, these products should be labeled as one serving per 30 grams (not 12). This would boost the nutrient content to the point where certain nutrients would actually be at the level of "good source" or possibly even "excellent source." As labeled, however, few nutrients meet the criteria for good or excellent source, and the calorie content shows misleadingly low. Other errors on the Nutrition Facts panel include improper rounding of nutrient data, and no serving size equivalent in terms of number of pieces/balls per serving.
